Mercer and Lawrence County Insurance Agents Receive Free CE
IICRC Certified Continuing Education instructor, Rodd Meyer, recently taught a class of 20 local Mercer and Lawrence County Insurance Agents. This class was geared towards two different major areas of study, 'Restoration Drying for Water Damage' and 'Deodorization of Malodors.'
We continually offer free CE classes throughout the year for all local agents. Abiding by CDC health guidelines, we can assure you you'll feel safe while attending our excellent IICRC classes.

SERVPRO Plays Role in Supplying Clean Classrooms
Providing a clean and safe learning environment for our local students is something we felt we should play our part in.
SERVPRO of Mercer and Lawrence Counties ran a social media contest for local teachers in hopes of winning buckets filled with cleaning supplies for their classroom.
In order to limit the spread of Covid-19, the regular wiping and disinfecting of high germ areas like classrooms is extremely important. We wanted to make it that much easier for teachers to keep their students and themselves safe in Mercer and Lawrence County.

On December 5, 2019 SERVPRO of Mercer and Lawrence Counties debuted its BRAND NEW ownership group and management team to Western PA business professionals at our very first Meet & Greet.
The Holiday Happy Hour Meet & Greet was held at Avalon at Buhl Farm and consisted of light cocktails, bite sized delicious treats, and great conversation. It was an amazing opportunity to introduce ourselves to the business community, highlight our services and learn about the area's leaders and their line of business.

Continuing Education with Mercer County
Continuing Education 2019
On November 13, 2019 the new ownership of SERVPRO of Mercer and Lawrence Counties held two Continuing Education seminars for Mercer and Lawrence County insurance agents and adjusters. The first course covered Ethics and gave attendees the opportunity to learn and discuss moral principles in regards to insurance claims.
For the second course, Owner and Master Restorer, Andrew Dobson instructed and rocked his first continuing education course - Mitigation Awareness and Response. This seminar gave attendees a better understanding of the restoration process for each type of disaster; fire, water, and mold.
In addition to the information provided, there were several opportunities for attendees to win prizes. We gave away two cool baskets filled with chocolate and baking goods - sweets that everyone can enjoy! Additionally we hosted our first Social Media Superstar competition on Facebook during the class giving attendees an opportunity to stay up to date with our community events and upcoming CE courses.

Our marketing team had the privilege of attending the 2018 Mercer County Commissioners Meet & Greet Luncheon, which was sponsored by the Chambers of Mercer, Greenville, Grove City, and Shenango Valley. This event was held at the Mercer County Career Center, where students served a wonderful meal and attendants from the various chambers got to hear from commissioners Matt McConnell, Scott Boyd and Tim McGonigle.

October is Fire Safety Month and, in Mercer and Lawrence County, that means we'll be headed to Home Depot for the annual Fire Safety Event! We love getting to participate in this fun event and welcome families and children to learn about fire safety from all of our local fire departments. Our team always comes equipped with the bounce house, as well as temporary tattoos of our mascot technicians, Stormy & Blaze!

Our marketing team welcomed 2018 with our annual calendar contest. During the month of December, we give out tons of SERVPRO desk calendars to our contacts at local insurance offices. With each calendar, we gave a chance to win a great office prize by engaging with us on our company Facebook page. This year's first prize winner was the office of Anderson Insurance in Grove City, PA. These lovely ladies won a keurig coffee maker!

In 2017, we visited Cornerstone Restaurant for a morning of Coffee Connections, where we got to hear from speakers from the Primary Health Network and the Mercer County Trails Association. What a great day for coffee and good conversation!
