Storm Flooding in New Castle Basement
This New Castle home saw significant flooding in the basement after extremely heavy rains caused a large amount of water to enter the structure. While the floor in the left picture appears dry in places, it is almost completely covered in a layer of silt and dirt that was brought in from outside. Our SERVPRO of Mercer and Lawerence Counties team went into the family's home and dried the remainder of the premises, and then proceeded to clean the floor, walls, and contents, and proceeded to remove all of the silt and grime. Heavy rain storms can cause major flooding and water damage, especially in lower areas of properties like this basement. In most cases, the drain overflows because of the amount of water that floods underneath the structure.
